NAF Academies
NAF is a national network of education, business, and community leaders who work together to ensure high school students are college, career, and future ready. NAF's educational design ignites students' passion for learning and gives businesses the opportunity to shape America's future workforce by transforming the learning environment to include STEM infused industry-specific curricula and work-based learning experiences, including internships. Since 1982, NAF has grown from one NAF Academy of Finance to hundreds of academies across the country focusing on growing industries including: finance, hospitality & tourism, information technology, engineering, and health sciences.
Scotlandville Magnet High School has four NAF academies preparing students for their futures. Our NAF Academy themes include: Academy of Finance, Academy of Information Technology and Academy of Health Sciences, and Academy of Engineering which has been announced as a Distinguised Academy.

Academy of Health Science (AOHS)
The Academy of Health Sciences (AOHS) address the critical achievement gap in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields and develops a pipeline of students prepared to pursue health-related degrees and professions in one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy: health sciences specialties such as biotechnology, genetics, nursing, therapeutics, and diagnostics just to name a few.
Academy of Information Technology
The Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) is a small learning environment that introduces students to the broad career opportunities in today’s digital workforce and equips them with the personal, analytical, technical and communication skills needed for these careers. AOIT opens the door to new options, so that students may make sound choices for the future.
Academy of Finance (AOF)
The Academy of Finance (AOF) is an interdisciplinary curriculum designed for students in grades 10-12 to explore the world of business. Students receive a theme-based curriculum along with a work-based learning curriculum. The program is designed to connect students with the world of financial services, business related careers, and prepare them for two and four year college degree programs.
